The following are the CBSE board subjects for class 10 that are covered in the syllabus for the current academic year.
English (Language and Literature)
It includes literature, reading skills, grammar, reading comprehension, writing skills, and poetry.

- Biology: Life processes, reproduction, diseases, environment, genetics, etc.
Social Science (History, Geography, Civics, Economics)
History, Geography, Civics, and Economics:
- History: Ancient, Medieval, Modern Indian history, World history, Nationalism, Global world, industrialization etc.
- Geography: Resources, climate, natural disasters, agriculture, resources & development, agriculture, Manufacturing industries, etc.
- Civics (Political Science): Democracy, Constitution, Judiciary, federalism, political parties, etc
- Economics: Money and credit, globalization, development, sectors of the economy, etc.
Optional subjects
Depending on the school, students might have the option to choose an additional subject such as Computer Science, Physical Education, health and physical education.
